My Registration History
For those who question my loyalty to the Republican party, I would like to provide some factual information and let them decide for themselves if being loyal to ANY party is more important than being loyal to the voters in our district and the state of Kentucky.
2005-2007
My family moved from Texas to Kentucky around 2005. When applying for a Drivers License in Kentucky, one must indicate their party affiliation. Due to the closed primaries, there is a warning on the form that you cannot vote in the primary unless you are registered with one of the two main parties. I assume I picked Democrat. However, I was not active in Kentucky politics at this time. We moved to Indiana in early 2007, just before the 2008 recession hit.
2015
In 2015, I changed my registration to Democrat from Other so that I could vote in the 2016 Primary.
2012
When we moved back to Kentucky in 2012, I completed the form at the Drivers’ License Bureau. Where it asked my party registration, this time I rejected the party label and chose Other, and writing Independent in the blank. The clerk wrote D -> I on the form, leading me to believe they found my previous registration on file in Laurel County indicated Democrat.
2017
Disgusted with the two party system, I changed my registration back to Independent. A month later, as I prepared to challenge my Republican Senator in the 2018 election cycle, after she championed an unconstitutional bill, against the will of the people, I registered as Democrat again.
2014
Upon changing addresses, I applied for a new drivers license. I once again checked the box “Other” but this time I did not write anything on the line. The clerk wrote I -> O on the form.
2019
After voting in the primary and witnessing corruption behind the curtain conducted by Democratic Party leadership, I switched back to Independent once again, where, according to records from the County Clerk, I remained until 2025.
